My condolences about
the very sad, recent passing away of
James ('Jim') Saunders to
all of his family, and to
the many that loved him.

I visited
St Matthew's 'Out of the Cold' program regularly
throughout recent years, & so I -
like countless other people in Toronto - was
very blessed by
the extraordinary program that
Jim helped found, after
his retirement from the police.

All of us there
remember Jim as
having ALWAYS been
very kind, generous, & helpful.

I saw him deal with
countless very difficult, challenging situations -
many which most people would never have known how to handle - and, yet,
somehow,
he ALWAYS maintained his
positive, very pleasant, and cheerful demeanour.

Many guests
missed his presence
throughout the last couple of years that
he was no longer able to attend, &
many of us kept enquiring about him.

Thank You, Jim.

I wish I could have attended but have some health issues I have to address.
James will be missed. One thing he always had was a smile on his face and
Common Sense which certainly lacking these days.

I worked downtown in the 70's when Jim was with Jim Mahoney,
Dougie Carroll and Vern Martin.
Jim had a good wit and a wonderful smile.
Sorry for your loss.

My deepest condolences to Jim's family. Growing up I always remember him with my dad working at Morality, Jimmy Saunders was a regular name in my dad's stories. So sorry for your loss. Shirley Lee (daughter of the late Jim Mahoney).

Sorry to hear about the loss of your father. We were classmates, worked together at 52 and were partners in plainclothes at 52.
A lot of good memories. Jim Hewitson
