Obituary for Marie Kettlewell

Peacefully at Trillium Health Partners, Mississauga on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at age 91. Born in Owen Sound on June 11, 1925. Wife of the late John R. Kettlewell. Mother of Richard (Sharon). Nana to Micah and James (Faneeza Janalli). Requiem Mass and burial was held at St. John’s Catholic Church, Glenelg. Donations in Marie’s name may be made to the Notre Dame Convent, Waterdown or a charity of your choice.

Life Story for Marie Kettlewell

Marie was the daughter of William and Mae (Ryan) Rumsey. Marie lived in Thunder Bay and Winnipeg through her life. She moved to Toronto in 1947. While in Toronto she worked for the Toronto Telegraph Office on Bay St. Later she moved to Mimico where she met her husband Jack Kettlewell. They were married on October 1, 1950. They purchased a house on Robert St/Wheatfield Rd in 1955 where her son still resides. In the mid 60's she became secretary for Kilborn Engineering until her retirement in the late 80's. From 1969 she lived on Lake Promenade, Long Branch. Last year Tyndall Senior Village, Mississauga became her final residence. Marie will be remembered as a gracious yet private person who was devoted to her Catholic faith.
