Obituary for FRANK KIECZOR
FRANK KIECZOR August 2nd, 1930 – June 1st, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frank Kieczor of Toronto, on Thursday, June 1st, 2023, in his 92nd year. Loving husband of Dorothy (nee MacDonald), dear father of Joe (Esther) and cherished grandfather of Justin and Jordyn. Wonderful uncle of Joan. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Annie, brothers Wallace, Peter, Louis, John, sisters Marie and Bernice and nephew Ron.
Frank was born in Toronto on August 2nd, 1930. He was a very passionate teacher, beginning his teaching career on September 4th, 1954, in Prescott, Ontario where he met the love of his life, Dorothy. They married on March 31st, 1956, recently celebrating their 67th wedding anniversary. Moving to Etobicoke in 1965, Frank taught at Vincent Massey, Silverthorn and Richview high schools, achieving a master’s degree in education and Department Head of Biology along the way. Frank held fond memories of the many students he taught throughout his career.
Strong in his faith, Frank loved his church and the Westway United Church family. Frank sold Christmas trees for decades to generations of families. He served his community in his retirement years, volunteering at Kiwanis and Meals on Wheels well into his 80’s.
There are many, great memories of family vacations, family visits to the trailer on Rice Lake, birthdays and anniversaries, trips to Florida, vacations with special friends; Mazurs, Lyons and Kings.
Funeral Service will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations to Westway United Church would be appreciated as an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers.
