Michael John McGowan, peacefully after a brave battle with cancer, passed away on January 17, 2023 at the age of 66. He was surrounded by his siblings and loved ones.

Mike graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1979 with a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics. His career in accounting spanned over three decades with various companies. Mike was a proud Torontonian and lived his whole life in the city. He was a  sports enthusiast, and an avid golfer and cyclist. He rode daily along the Lakeshore bike paths. He enjoyed playing basketball with friends at his old high school  Michael Power. A huge Toronto Raptor fan, Mike rarely missed a game. He also enjoyed history, politics, art and he loved to travel and enjoyed road trips in his convertible.

Mike will be dearly missed by his siblings Kevin, Brian ,Tim (Mary Anna), Patsy (Mario), his nieces and nephews Mitchell, Ellen, Joshua and Emma, many cousins and long time friends Bob Freeze and Larry Kelly. Mike was predeceased by his parents John (Jack) and Joan McGowan.

Mike will be cremated and there will be no funeral service. Condolences and tributes can be made at Hogle.ca, & donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society  Mike will be sadly missed, but we will carry his memory in our hearts forever.
