Obituary for ANNUNZIATA FABRIZIO

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Annunziata Fabrizio (De Tommaso) on Mother’s Day, Sunday May 9th, 2021, in her 96th year. She was a devoted wife (pre-deceased by Antonio Fabrizio) a loving mother to Anna (Danny Deluca) and Orsola (Pasquale Fabrizio). A beloved Nonna to Lorena (Tony), Joe (Telesa), Giacomo (Lisa), Anthony (Melissa) and Christine (Jean-Paul) and adored by her great-grandchildren Luca, Julian, Sofia, Thomas, Bentley, Ava, Rachel and Aurora. As Mamma and Nonna, she was an integral part of all our lives, the matriarch of our family, the keeper of our stories and traditions, the link to our past.
Born in Dragoni, Caserta, Italy, she came to Canada in 1959 to be with her husband Antonio and, together with her daughters, they built a beautiful life and legacy. She loved to be surrounded by her family and treasured so many traditions – Easter Saturday lunch, tomato sauce making in her garage, making her “famous” Christmas “wandi” cookies and celebrating all the birthdays of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We cherished every single moment we spent with her and our loss is deep and profound. We cannot imagine a life without Nonna – she will be the brightest star in the night when we look to the heavens and the gentle breeze that kisses our cheeks when we think of her. She will now be in heaven with all her beloved family that went before her who will be there to welcome her into their arms, especially her husband Antonio and great-grandson Stefano.
“Ti vogliamo tanto bene cara Mamma e Nonna, sarai sempre nei nostri cuori e non ti dimenticheremo mai. Riposi in pace.”
