In Memory of

Luba was born in Luck, Ukraine, (formerly Poland), she had 3 siblings and was the longest living in her family. She was taken to Germany in 1942 where she lived with 100 girls and worked for 7 years. She met her husband and married in 1947 then in 1949 they moved to Brasil. In Curitiba she had a daughter Leocadia in 1965 the family moved to Canada and were sponsored by friends Nina and Bronislaw Dalecki.
Luba worked at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in the cafeteria for 18 years, she retired in 1987 to take care of her grandsons Simon and Robert. She was active until 92 years, then dementia set in. She had a Goddaughter in Brasil Maria Helena and in Canada Yadwiga.
She was lucky to have a wonderful PSW Bernadeta Kaczmarek who became her second daughter, she loved cooking and to have visitors, she loved all her friends in Canada and Brasil. She died the way that she wanted, in her sleep, at home, with her family Leocadia, son-in-law Boleslaw, grandsons Simon and Robert.
Rest in Peace
