Obituary for Pauline Brady

Sad to announce the passing of Pauline Brady in her 100th year - mother of
Douglas (d), Alan and Gordon, grandmother to Darin,Lisa, Alec and Christopher,
great-grandmother to Wilica, Cassandra, John and Samantha, great-great
grandmother to Paul and Zahra.
Born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland she emigrated as Norman Brady's war bride
and lived most of her life in Mimico in the west end of Toronto. A widow for
over forty years she gave much support to the community. There she was well
known as a integral part of several local charities. She took up lawn bowling
and quickly became an excellent bowler who attended many international
tournaments including in Portugal and Australia. Her passion for music and dance
was evident as she taught Scottish Country dancing into her 80s. In her 90s she
continued to organize casino outings for local seniors (the "old ones" as she
called her cohorts).
Her legacy includes a dedication to community causes and a love of music which
has been passed to four generations.
Rest in peace
As per Pauline's wishes, there will be no funeral. In lieu of flowers the family
would appreciate donations to Women's Habitat
