Robin Brooks Pitcher (Red Breast)

Peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Leaside Revera in his 80th year. Dear son of the late Paul and Josephine. Robin will be lovingly remembered by his little brother, son, and above all best friend Steve Kirkpatrick. Loving partner of Judith Pashley.

Robin travelled the world, he enjoyed the love of food, he was a great listener, and a lover of boxing, and fitness. Always a gentleman, Robin will be missed by his many cousins, and loving friends all around the world.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. with a celebration of his life at 3:30 p.m. at the G.H. Hogle Funeral Home, 63 Mimico Ave. Etobicoke, ON. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada would be appreciated.

Saddened to read of Robin's passing. His parents Paul and Dosie (niece of my father John Marler) were very close to our family and we would see Robin at special occasions. Condolences to Judith and to Steve, as well as to Robin's wide circle of friends and relatives.

Robin's mother Josephine (Dosie) was my godmother. I have many fond memories of Dosie and Paul when I was growing up in Montreal and later in Vancouver. I did not know Robin well but I am sure he inherited his parents' spirit of generosity. My condolences to his many friends and cousins.

We are part of Robin's Kitchener family. He was best friends with Al Goebel from Queens university on. Al's sister is Gwen Wilson from Kitchener. Everytime Al visited he brought "Uncle Robin" with him. Fun family times, fine dining with Robin & Al always in the kitchen cooking with Gwen's help. Uncle Robin was at Gwen & Gord's almost every Christmas Eve for a family visit and he was always filming home videos of everything. Santa (Gord) all the gifts the kids & adults got on Santa's lap even Uncle Robin too. Fun times at the cottage, canoeing, BBQ's, lots to card games and laughter. He loved theatre and dining adventures in Stratford and when we could we would meet him there for lunch. He loved to travel the world and shared his adventures with us. We loved his family picnics at Milverton. He invited all of us to his little slice of paradise in the country. We all had lots of fun running around the big yard playing games with the kids, younger kids had fun hiding in his hammock, playing the washer game and having a delicious BBQ feast. He was such an amazing, kind, gentle soul we feel blessed to know him and will miss him dearly. Uncle Robin is back together with our beloved family members Al, Gwen and Gord in heaven and they can be happy and together again. Love Debby, Kelly, Ryan, Bryan, and Michelle. The Kelly Miller family.❤

Robin Brooks Pitcher you will be missed. Condolences to all that knew him. Stevie Boy, sorry for your loss bro. :( Robin was in our lives since the mid 1970's. Starting in Montreal and carrying on in Toronto. He's been a fixture in our lives for more than 45 years.
Many weekend parties in Milverton. Really memorable times. Truly believe he is in a better place now. He endured some very difficult times in the last few years. He fought a great fight. Chuvalo would be proud of him. He took all the punches and carried on. God speed RBP. Say hi to Mom for us all, would you. xoxo
