Obituary for Romeo Delangis

With sadness we announce the passing of Romeo Samuel DeLangis at the age of 87.
Our beloved father and our eternal friend left us on Friday January 31st, 2020.

Born in Montreal on May 31st, 1932 to Romeo DeLangis Sr. and Blanche Bois.
He moved to Hamilton, ON. at an early age to work at National Steel Car with his Father.

On January 28th, 1955 he married his sweetheart Shirley Muriel Williams and together they raised two sons, Micheal and Maurice and three daughters
Michelle, Melinda and Mila.

Romeo was always an entrepreneur and together our parents embarked on many, many endeavours while raising a family of five, most notably the fostering of many
children over the years through The Children's Aid Society.

Romeo enjoyed playing euchre with our Aunts and Uncles and his friends, enjoyed square dancing, and was the infamous ring leader of Akka Bakka as well as all sorts of other mischief.

Romeo was predeceased by his wife Shirley. He is survived by his children Micheal (Lanore), Maurice, Michelle (Dale), Melinda and Mila, his sisters Lucille and Claudette and his brother Henry, his grandchildren Justin, Taylor, Crystal Shawn, Forrest, Arrow, Thunder, Rashell, Joseph, Brian Jr, Zackarie and Clarke, as well as his two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Ethan. He leaves behind his nieces, nephews and in-laws Jean, Harry, Emelyn, Harvey, Linda and Sue.

A heartfelt thanks to Cate, Placido and all the staff at Cooksville Care Centre.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday February 18th, 2020 at G.H. Hogle Funeral Home on Mimico Ave. from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with service to begin at 2:30 p.m.
