Obituary for Olive Wilson
Olive May Wilson (nee Bacon) – Born in England on November 6, 1914.
Peacefully at Dorothy Ley Hospice on Saturday November 30, 2019. Olive was predeceased by Charlie Wilson (2014), her husband of 63 years. She will be missed by her nieces, nephews and cousins in the United Kingdom and her friends here in Canada. Olive was a long-time member of Mimico Presbyterian Church. For many years she was an active member of the Choir and the Women’s Guild.
We would like to thank Olive’s Personal Care Workers Norgie Parmbid, Alpha Notarte and Nora Parmbid for their loving care and friendship over the last 2 years. Though Olive’s time at Dorothy Ley Hospice was short we cannot speak more highly of their compassion for Olive. Thank you to Dr. Roy from Dorothy Ley Hospice for her excellent care of Olive these past 2 years while Olive was in palliative care and to Sandy Thompson.her nurse practitioner for his care and friendship .
Visitation will be held at the G.H. Hogle Funeral Home, 63 Mimico Avenue, Etobicoke on Sunday December 15th from 1pm to 2pm. The memorial service will be held at the G.H. Hogle Funeral Home on Sunday December 15th at 2pm. A reception will follow the service at Mimico Presbyterian Church, 119 Mimico Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mimico Presbyterian Church or the Etobicoke Humane Society.
