A.J. Baker-Chaulk born January 24, 1994, passed away unexpectedly on Oct 29, 2019. He was just 25 years old. He leaves behind brother Jason, sister Alissa along with his parents Melissa & Allan, grandmothers, aunts, uncles and cousins. We are all shocked and saddened with his passing.

He was a charming, witty, smart and charismatic young man who was loved by all who knew him. His personality was infectious; quick to laugh and make jokes, AJ loved being the centre of attention and being surrounded by people. Some of his favourite times were celebrating special occasions with the Madeley family or hunting/fishing with his dad and uncle John. Our fondest memories with him are game nights around the kitchen table, bonfires in the backyard and watching Polar Express together on Christmas Eve. He will be in our hearts forever and missed for much longer than that. A.J. had suffered several health setbacks over the past few years and as a result, struggled with pain & addiction. This was a battle he was fighting bravely until the end.

I knew A.J. back in high school. I have fond memories of being on Student Council with him. He was funny, quick-witted, and always smiling! I am so saddened to hear of this devastating loss, and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I just want to send his family and friends love and support in this sad time. I can’t imagine what his family and close friends are going through right now. AJ was always extremely kind and friendly to me everyone else. He was always very supportive with Tess and I- on the mostly boys hockey team in middle school. He made us feel welcome and a part of the team. He was a leader. It was too soon for him to leave this world. His memories and spirit will always be with us.

AJ was the best teammate a guy could have asked for. He always had my back, he could always make me laugh and he always left everything out on the floor or the ice. Some of my best memories were competing alongside him. In fact, if it weren't for him, I never would have even picked up a lacrosse stick. I'm so thankful for having been so close to AJ growing up, he was like a brother to me. He was a tenacious teammate but an even better friend. He will be missed.
