Georgina Joyce Stewart
“Jo”

The family of Jo Stewart are saddened to announce the passing of their dear wife, mother
and grandmother on March 4, 2019 at the age of 84. Jo was a woman of many beautiful
qualities. Her love of life and travel, with her favourite dance partner and loving husband
of over 64 years, Doug Stewart, took them on many memorable trips to Florida, around
Ontario and even on a memorable 50 th wedding anniversary journey to Hawaii. Her love
and caring extended beyond her family to those in our community with the over 1000
crocheted bears and other items donated to St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Ronald McDonald
House and Sick Kids Hospital. She gave of herself in an effortless, committed and private
manner so others could be comforted.

Sadly, Jo was predeceased by her daughter Gail Weiler. Lovingly remembered by her
son Doug and wife Carol Peltier-Stewart grandchildren Andrea O’Reilly and husband
Matt, Nicole Weiler, Adam Weiler, Catherine Coven and Christina Lam and husband
Gary and great grandchildren Kashton Coven, Brandon Lam and Alyssa Lam.
