Charles Tsang-Jung Kuo

--Charles Tsang-Jung Kuo, age 83, died Sunday June 17th, 2018 at Humber River Hospital. He was the loving father of his devoted daughters, Patty Kuo-Levin and Phoebe Kuo, who were by his side throughout his last months. He had 4 grandchildren, ages 13-31 who will always remember him as a compassionate intellectual who valued education and music. He was a devoted son to his adopted father, Oliver F. Goll. Charles passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side.

Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Charles immigrated to America to study before settling in Toronto with his family. He was a highly regarded college professor in Taiwan and pursued a second career as an accountant in Toronto. After retiring, Charles had an endless thirst for knowledge with varied interests including history, world events, and classical music. Indeed, he taught himself how to play classical piano, violin, and guitar. His love for local and international cuisine was his other enduring passion.

Charles was a resident of Etobicoke for over 30 years and traveled to Taiwan every year to be with family. His funeral service was held by G.H. Hogle and he was buried at the Beechwood Mausoleum on June 19th, 2018.
