Condolence From: Brent Ham
Condolence: Dear Jeannette and Family, our hearts are with you during this time of loss and sadness. Norm will be deeply missed and I am truly sorry that we could not be with you to celebrate his wonderful life. I always appreciated Norm's wisdom and his eagerness to give a listening ear. Three words that I think best describe him are: compassion, faith and integrity. I also valued the joy that he had in life and his sense of humour even if I didn't always understand his jokes. I feel very blessed that as I was growing up that I got to spend as much time at your house as I did. From his involvement in Scouts to keeping Neville and I out of trouble as teenagers.... I will forever be grateful. Rest in peace and may God's strength be with you all. In Faith, The Venerable Brent Ham and Family

Condolence From: Gay and Archie McIntosh
Condolence: Jeannette and Family, Gay and I are so sorry for your loss. Norm was a wonderful and generous person and we are grateful for his friendship. His passion for scuba diving drew us into his circle but it was his patient teaching and mentoring that we and our sons will be forever grateful. We have fond memories of dive trips, golf games and lunches where we could catch up on each other’s families and activities. We are so thankful that through his courageous battle this past year, that he was blessed with you by his side Jeannette. We are sorry we will not be back from Europe in time for the visitation and funeral but you are in our thoughts and prayers and you have our deepest condolences.

Condolence From: Mary Grogan
Condolence: To Jeannette and family, I am so sorry to hear of Norm's illness and passing. I have many fond memories of Norm when I was a guidance counselor at St. Teresa's and he was the principal. He was a thoughtful, kind and generous man who always acknowledged the support his wife and children gave him to ensure his success. We often had discussions about finding creative and humane solutions for students who were struggling with challenges so I experienced his humanity, open heart, and gospel principles. Norm's curiosity and positive attitude towards learning were refreshing for his staff and students who he mentored with encouragement and celebrations. I am sure he will continue to be a powerful role model for his children and grandchildren. He was truly blessed to have your love during this past difficult year. May you be comforted by the love of family and friends, the rich memories and the hand of God during this time of loss and grief. Take care of each other. Shalom, Mary Grogan

Norm was always very special to my family as well as to my mom (Judy) and my dad (Bing). I will miss your smile, and your ability to tear up on demand. Condolence From: Robert and Renee Shannon
Condolence: Our deepest condolences to Jeannette and the entire Thomas Family and Friends at this time of loss. Norm was such a good trusted friend to myself, Renee, we morn his passing. Renee remembers Norm fondly helping her as a new diver and mentoring her teaching career. I remember coaxing her to 'call Norm, he may have the answer' When a gentle word or kind shoulder was needed. Thank You for helping her Norm as i reminded you many times of my appreciation. I was lucky to meet up with Norm at his hobby dive shop Aqua Systems Ltd. in late August this year. We spoke, and he congratulated me on the birth of my son Todd on August first. We asked after each others' wives and asked to pass on our greetings to them. We always traded many stories as his and my family grew. A proud father and happier grandfather with the birth of his grandchildren. Norm was a special friend and colleague, we shared many a story about family, life and diving We helped each other through the years and became family. You were a good friend to my Father Todd and that is how we met scuba diving and his dive shop. Your kindness has touched so many people you were a kind gentle and true man. You will be missed by us and always remembered as one of the good people. Whom we had the pleasure to meet on this journey of life. Your friends Robert and Renee Shannon
