Audrey Catherine Louise Abbott -

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 29, 2017 in her 97th year. Predeceased by her parents John and Muriel (nee Mitchell) Abbott, sister Muriel (nee Abbott) Wright, brother Richard Abbott and her cherished cat, Hal. She will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Born in Toronto October 9, 1920, raised in Parkdale; Audrey was a trail blazer leaving a secure position at the Bell (Long Distance Board) to go to the University of Toronto to obtain her Masters in Social Work. Always a fun loving and adventurous spirit. She forged her own path skiing, boating and even flying airplanes. A private family burial at Park Lawn Cemetery has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family on Saturday March 11, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at the G. H. Hogle Funeral Home, 63 Mimico Avenue, Etobicoke, ON for a Service of Remembrance for Audrey at 1:00 p.m. followed by a reception.
