At her home in Toronto, peacefully on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 in her 75th year. Beloved mother of Kathryn Hendrikx, and husband John Hendrikx of Toronto and Michelle Dunleavy and husband Christian Dunleavy of Bermuda. Loving grandmother of Rachel and Claire Hendrikx and Ellie, Robin and Olivia Dunleavy. Survived by sister Joan Sirrs of Ottawa, and brother Gilbert Boland and wife June of Mississauga and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband Micheal Airey, brothers Wilfred Boland, Kyran Boland and sisters, Rose Carter, Mary Kiteley, Frances Johnson, Terry Anderson and Stella Boland. Mrs. Airey was a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo and the University of Toronto and devoted her life to the profession of teaching. She was an enthusiastic student her entire life recently devoting 2 years volunteering at the Royal Ontario Museum. She studied to become a ROM walk host, and most recently a graduate of the Docent program. Mrs. Airey will be resting at the G. H. Hogle Funeral Home, 63 Mimico Ave., Etobicoke. Visitation Monday, January 9th from 11-12 followed by a funeral service 12-12:30 and reception 12:30-1:30. Internment at Park Lawn Cemetery later this spring.
